I guess if you really wanted to, that you could use this; http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_DoA_Ritway
(1 player plays tank, 1 SoL monk, rest has to be micro'd)
Then it might work, but I'm not sure.

Any build can, I'm pretty sure the standard rules go for DoA aswell. E.G. don't bring assassins heroes, don't bring this, don't brind that, ...
I'm pretty ANY build that works somewhat in other area's will work here aswell. (However, I don't think U should pack a MM, cuz there is large area's without corpses)

Its definitely doable. The specific builds I used are no longer appropriate due to skill changes
Earthshaker with Dolyaks
->Hero 1 SF Ele with Dual Visages
->Hero 2 Focused Anger Paragon with ToF
->Hero 3 LoD Hybrid Monk with prot spirit and SoA
SS Nec
->Hero 1 Chanelling/Resto Rit
->Hero 2 Minon Master
->Hero 3 LoD Hybrid Monk with spirit bond and SoA
LoD has since been nerfed, but WoH is a good replacement. We had Watch yourself on the earthshaker, which is a dead skill now... SYG could probably fill in the gaps (or even better, SY if you're using pve skills). This loss in power could be compensated for by running a N/Rt channel/restore which we had not yet discovered the beauty of.
Having a human melee was critical to our success as we would have them bodyblock and take as much of the heat as possible while being protted up to the eyeballs whilst LoD/protective was/ToF mopped up any spillage. We always took melee enemies out first as they were the easiest to kill and reduced the pressure to managable levels.
City and veil are a cakewalk and should be done first, Gloom was tricky at the "defend the canyon bit", but otherwise ok. If you're going to have issues, its going to be at Foundry.

I was trying it out with a guildmate earlier this year.
1 ele and 1 necro, with a mix of heroes. City, Veil are manageable, just watch your aggros like normally. For Gloom, just load up on AoE for the defending part. Essentially those three are manageable after a few tries. But Foundry stopped us so many times we have since stopped doing it.

The build with two people would be variations on 600 Famine or Smiter. Typically its an SV AV 600 tank with a Famine QZ EW Ranger build can do Foundry and you typically take a Echo Trappers for the Fury at the very end. Before EotN and Ursan we were doing it with a 3-5 man team and essentially 1 or two real humans and the rest heros. Also often these should be done in HM as it will go faster and will do more damage because of the faster attack speed. Consumables also may be helpful.
My suggestion is that it will take very specialized builds for each section. The most difficult one will be Glooms Cave, but Foundry, City folks were very successful at. Veil can be Trapped, just takes a long time.

Sure it's possible. Myself and a guildie(warrior and ele) have done all but the Foundry with heroes. He tanked, and we ran 3 SH nukers, a warder, a water ele, and two monks. Have to be careful with aggro and tanking, but it's definitely do-able. In the foundry, we've had to switch it up though. But due to internet problems we haven't been able to finish it.
